Amazon.com Product Description With remarkable two-in-one support, the Moving Comfort Maia Bra is made to fit and flatter larger-breasted women. With seam-free molded cups and an underwire to separate and support the breasts, the Maia offers an enhanced fit and a smooth, no-line look under shirts. To further reinforce and support the chest and increase comfort, internal spacer fabric extends from the cup to the strap of the bra. The back straps are adjustable for an optimum fit, and three plush-backed hook-and-eye rows on band offer further adjustable comfort. On a purely aesthetic level, the Maia reduces the "tube" effect created by so many sports bras on the market so you can look great and feel great. Designed for high-impact sports, the Maia features combined encapsulation and compression support. The encapsulation bra cup construction surrounds the breast to give support and shaping, protecting the breast tissue from horizontal, vertical, and circular motion during sports. Compression bra construction redistributes breast tissue to evenly press against the chest wall limiting overall motion. If you have been discouraged by sport bras that do not accommodate larger chest sizes or are unattractive to look at, then Maia is a great choice for you. Designed for comfort and beauty, this is a bra that recognizes the athleticism of all women. Specifications: - 2-in-1 support
- Seam-free molded cups
- Underwire
- Smooth, no-line look under shirts
- Internal spacer fabric reinforces support
- Adjustable back straps
- Three plush-backed hook-and-eye rows on band
Support Type: - Compression: Bra cup construction that redistributes breast tissue to evenly press against the chest wall to limit motion
- Encapsulation: Bra cup construction that surrounds the breast to give support and shaping. Based on various degrees of impact, this structure helps to protect the breast tissue from horizontal, vertical, and circular motion during sports activities.
Material Specifications: Body: 88 percent polyester, 12 percent spandex Interior Cups: 100 percent polyester spacer fabric Care Specifications: - Machine washable
- Fasten the hooks before tossing them in the machine
- Hang dry
Find Your Fit: - Band: Should be slightly more snug than a lingerie bra. Make sure you can comfortably take a deep breath with the bra fastened on the middle hook. Be sure the band doesn't ride up in the back. If it does, the band may be too loose and/or the straps need to be adjusted.
- Cups: Adjust your breasts for a proper fit. They should be completely held within the cups without overflowing. Fabric should be smooth. Wrinkles or puckers indicate the cup is too big. Underwire should sit on your ribcage below the breast tissue and follow your natural shape.
- Straps: Should offer minimal stretch to reduce up-and-down breast movement. Wider straps will disperse the weight and feel more comfortable. Straps should not dig in or slide off your shoulders. Adjustable straps offer a more custom fit.
About Moving Comfort: Two female runners founded Moving Comfort in 1977 before there were women's workout clothes. In the 30-plus years since the founding, the company hasn't strayed from its original purpose. Moving Comfort uses high-quality, performance fabrics that have the right amount of stretch, perfect quick-wicking moisture management, and a healthy amount of comfort--cut exactly for a woman's body. Moving Comfort follows the following guidelines in constructing high-performance athletic wear for women: Moving means moving: The how doesn't matter--running, walking, weight training, yoga, martial arts, skiing, snowshoeing, rock climbing, horseback riding, golf, tennis, basketball, volleyball, soccer, inline skating...Moving Comfort naturally understands and designs clothes for a woman's body, whatever that body was meant to do. Quality comes first: Moving Comfort understands the kind of support and freedom needed in clothing, and how that clothing should feel against the skin. The company knows what keeps women warm and dry when it's cold and cool and dry when it's hot. Knowledge, expertise and high standards shape the fit, fabric and function of every garment Moving Comfort designs. Fit affects everything: Keeping fit improves every aspect of a woman's life--reducing the incidence of heart disease, breast cancer, osteoporosis, depression, and drug and alcohol abuse. If a girl or woman is more comfortable when she's working out, she's more likely to keep at it. That's why Moving Comfort views its technical garments--and the great fit of each piece--as a means to encourage women to get fit and stay fit.

Great bra! February 24, 2010 Jessica Hartman I am very happy with this bra. I am a large chested woman and this is the best sports bra I have ever owned. I bought the first one because it was on sale, but now I will buy them even if they aren't. Great product!
The last sports bra that I will ever buy... January 29, 2010 Proud to Run 13.1 I purchased this bra after many, many years of wearing two sports bras. As a long distance runner who normally wears a 36dd, I was really looking for something to eliminate movement. Well, I found it in the Maia. It absolutely eliminated any movement, and really alleviated the upper back stress that I was feeling because of the weight of "the girls." I would recommend, however, going down in band size. I tried it on in the store before buying it on Amazon, and I found that going down to a 34dd accomplished all of my goals without being too tight or restrictive. Overall, it is an amazing sports bra. I will be buying more in the future!
Good support, comfortable too January 9, 2010 bee2679 (detroit, mi) Holds everything in place pretty well. No complaints overall, which is saying a lot because I'm really picky and really busty.
Solid Sports Bra December 28, 2009 E. Homar This is a solid sports bra, one of the better I have found for my full busted figure. I have worn it to high impact aerobics, on the elliptical machine, and strength training. It did very well on all of those
*CONS*
- It does not keep them stationary during jump squats and a couple of other moves that required jumping. While it was not uncomfortable jiggle, it was there. As such, I am not sure how this will hold up for runners.
*PROS*
- It does what it says it does. It is a solid sports bra that holds you comfortably while you work out.
- It does not create a uni-boob. This is a plus if you have nice work out clothes or if you would need to, say, wear it to the grocery store after working out.
Only other thing to note is if you wear a heart rate monitor, make sure you purchase one with enough room on the band to slip it under. There is a very small amount of "give' on these, and my monitor could only read my heart rate after I slid it under the fabric of the bra.
Wow! Finally a bra in my size! December 21, 2009 Happy Mommy (Idaho) I've been running in a CW-X bra for a year and a half. I've ran a marathon in one and loved it. But.. the latest ones just aren't as supportive as the earlier models, so I found myself searching for a new brand today. I had never tried a Moving Comfort sports bra before. I was so impressed that they carry oddball sizes like mine - 34DD! I love how it looks, how it lifts and how it keeps the bounce down to a minimum. I liked the hook-eye closure on the back like a regular bra so I could get the band fit just right. I found that a 32D also fit pretty well, as long as I left the band on it's largest size and the 34DD fit fine if I kept it on the smallest setting. I'm fairly certain a 32DD or a 34D would also have worked well because of the ability to adjust the fit in the band. I'm very pleased that I've finally found a bra that works -- and costs less than what I was used to spending on a CW-X.
